Since 2005, we have walked alongside Kito as disciples first, community workers second. “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress” (James 1:27). That conviction is why we built a school, a skilling institute, and a Jaja program. Every child fed, every youth trained at NRSI, every elder visited and cared for under the Jaja Life Program is the same Gospel lived out in a different season of life.

What vocational skills can I learn at NRCO?
We offer hands-on training in high-demand trades including Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Electrical Installation, Plumbing, Welding, Catering, and Cosmetology.
Who is eligible to enroll in your programs?
Our programs primarily target Ugandan youth (ages 15–30) seeking practical skills for self-sufficiency. We prioritise passionate individuals, including students who have had to leave school for one reason or another and those from disadvantaged backgrounds, who are ready to commit to their personal and professional growth.
How long do the training courses last?
Training duration varies by trade. We offer short-term intensive courses (3–6 months) for quick skill acquisition and long-term certificate programs (1–2 years) for deeper vocational mastery and leadership development.
Are NRCO certifications officially recognized?
Yes. Upon successful completion, students receive an NRCO Certificate of Completion. We also partner with national bodies like the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT) to ensure our graduates receive recognized certifications that enhance their employability
What are the requirements to volunteer at NRCO?
We look for individuals with a passion for youth empowerment and vocational excellence. Volunteers must be 18 years or older, demonstrate the ability to work in teams, and be willing to strictly follow our safety and operational protocols.
Can I volunteer if I don’t have a background in vocational trades?
Absolutely. While we need technical mentors, we also value volunteers who can support our values-based leadership modules, administrative tasks, digital marketing, or community outreach efforts.
What is the time commitment for volunteers?
Consistency is key to our students’ success. We ask volunteers to commit to a pre-agreed schedule of shifts. Whether it’s a few hours a week or a full-time monthly placement, we value reliability above all else.
How does NRCO measure the impact of its work?
We track success through graduate placement rates, business start-up numbers, and income growth among our alumni. Donors receive regular impact reports showcasing how vocational mastery is translating into economic and spiritual flourishing for our youth.
How is my donation utilized?
Transparency is one of our core values. 100% of donor funding goes directly toward training equipment (tools, sewing machines, ovens), instructor salaries, and scholarship funds for students who cannot afford tuition.
How can I partner with NRCO beyond a one-time donation?
